关于本期特刊
在过去几十年中，野火的规模、强度和破坏程度都在显著增加，成为全球许多环境科学家关注的一个普遍话题。此外，人们越来越多地使用计划烧除（Prescribed fire)来降低野火的风险--综合来看，野火对地方、区域和全球范围的环境影响变得更加重要，因为其他来源的排放已通过法规得以减少。因此，在过去几年中，人们加大了研究力度，以更好地了解野地火灾的排放、化学、老化及其对空气质量、水、气候和健康的影响。
