ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces 很高兴宣布邀请 加州大学洛杉矶分校刘翀副教授 ，担任期刊副主编。
刘翀教授于2008年获得复旦大学化学学士学位，师从赵东元院士，期间开展了介孔材料的相关研究。2008年-2013年，他前往加州大学伯克利分校攻读博士研究生，师从杨培东教授。他的博士论文侧重于利用太阳能合成选择性化学物质开展人工光合作用。他将无机催化剂、半导体纳米材料、甚至具有反应选择性的微生物等多构件整合在一起，创造出高效的功能装置。他因此获得了材料研究学会研究生奖。在伯克利获得化学博士学位后，他作为新加坡南洋理工大学资助的李光耀博士后研究员（Lee Kuan Yew postdoctoral fellow）继续其职业生涯。他与哈佛大学的 Daniel Nocera 教授和哈佛医学院的 Pamela Silver 教授合作，结合生物学和无机化学的优势，开发了无机/生物混合系统，在太阳能驱动下固定二氧化碳和氮气，其效率高于自然界的同类系统。这些成果以第一作者/共同一作的身份发表在 Science 和 Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences 上。2017年，他加入加州大学洛杉矶分校化学与生物化学系，担任助理教授 (J effrey and Helo Zink Endowed Professional Development Term Chair )，2023年，转为副教授。
刘翀教授主要研究能源、生物和环境领域的电化学系统，通过结合无机化学、纳米材料和电化学方面的专业知识，解决催化、能源转换、CO 2 /N 2 固定和微生物群方面的一些挑战性问题。研究重点包括CO 2 /N 2 固定的先进生物电化学系统，以及可用于生物、医疗和环境应用研究的电化学纳米器件。
