On October 20th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China officially announced the "Management Measures for Greenhouse Gas Voluntary Emission Reduction Trading (Trial)", marking the official resumption of China’s Certified Voluntary Emission Reduction (CCER).

Deepwater Taco 1 Well Drilling Exceeding 8000 Meters in China

At 3:00 am on October 25th, China’s first Wanmike exploration well, Shenditaco 1, successfully broke the 8000 meter mark in drilling depth and made a full push towards the target well depth.

Bohai Drilling Breaks Multiple Records in China’s Shale Gas Market

On October 25th, there was good news from the Sichuan shale gas market: the highly difficult evaluation well Lu 216, drilled by the 70155 drilling team of Bohai Drilling Fourth Company, was successfully completed with a completion depth of 6780 meters, a maximum vertical depth of 4606.28 meters, and a bottom temperature of 168 degrees Celsius, breaking the records of the deepest vertical depth and the highest bottom temperature in the Luzhou block of Sichuan shale gas, creating the deepest shale gas construction well and the deepest casing penetration of this company Multiple records such as the longest one-time cementing section for cementing.

Changqing Oilfield First Adopts Liquid Nitrogen Foam Technology to Achieve Results

The pilot test of the new nitrogen foam fracturing technology of CNPC Changqing Sulige Gas Field in a sidetracking directional well in Su14 Block was successfully completed. Technical data shows that a total of 255 cubic meters of liquid nitrogen were injected, with a carrying capacity of 78.4 cubic meters and a water consumption of only 370 cubic meters. The open flow rate for gas testing reached 429200 cubic meters per day, saving 50% of water consumption compared to conventional fracturing processes, reducing safety and environmental protection risks, and improving the gas testing effect by more than 20%, becoming a new engine for efficient development of tight gas reservoirs.

Breakthrough in Carbon Dioxide Refracturing and Oil Displacement Technology for Horizontal Well Borehole Reconstruction in China

On October 24th, it was learned that the first horizontal well in Block 156 of the tight oil reservoir in Huaqing Oilfield, including wellbore reconstruction, carbon dioxide re fracturing, and fracturing oil displacement agent test well SP8-8, was successfully completed. A total of 20 sections and 60 clusters were fractured, and 2400 tons of liquid carbon dioxide were injected. The pressure diffusion during the closed well stage was stable, 4.5 MPa higher than conventional techniques, marking the continuous integration of volume fracturing, gas flooding, chemical flooding, and other enhanced oil recovery technologies in the old oilfield, Further iteration and upgrading of fracturing and oil displacement technology for reconstructing the seepage field of horizontal wells.
