美国阿肯色大学郭蕾课题组招收博士研究生及博士后

The Guo Lab at the  University of Arkansas, Fayetteville  has openings for PhD and Postdoc positions. Research projects include but are not limited to

• Micropollutants’ (e.g., PFAS) removal, detection, and analysis for water treatment;

• Resource recovery from wastewater;

• Engineered nanomaterials for bio-related applications.

Dr. Guo obtained her bachelor degree in chemistry at Lanzhou University, China and was supervised by Prof. Wei Wang for her undergraduate research. Upon graduation in 2014, she joined Prof. Omar Yaghi’s group at UC Berkeley for her PhD degree and worked on covelant organic frameworks (COFs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Dr. Guo took her postdoc training at Caltech in Prof. Michael R. Hoffmann’s group and started working in environmental science and engineering. She is now an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville working on water and wastewater treatment with engineered nanomaterials.

General Admission Requirements for the Graduate Program:

• Foreign applicants without a degree from a U.S. institution or a native English-speaking country must have a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 79 or equivalent.

Desired Skills:   

• Degree or research experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or close related fields.

• Excellent team work skills, and strong passion and curiosity towards science and engineering.

• Strong molecular and solid-state materials’ synthesis and characterization skills and instrumental analysis expertise.

• Fluent in oral and written English.

郭蕾博士在中国兰州大学获得化学学士学位，并在本科期间在王为教授课题组进行学习。2014年毕业后，她加入了加州大学伯克利分校的Omar M. Yaghi教授的课题组攻读博士学位，并从事共价有机框架（COFs）和金属有机框架（MOFs）的研究。郭蕾博士在加州理工学院的Michael R. Hoffmann教授的课题组进行博士后培训，并开始从事环境科学和工程方面的研究。她于2022年秋季加入阿肯色大学费耶特维尔分校担任助理教授，主要从事工程纳米材料在水和废水处理中的研究。
