Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit your valuable research work to this Special Issue on New Frontiers Advanced Materials for Energy Storage Applications.

In the past decades, the need for the development of alternative energy conversion and storage systems has increased dramatically due to the rapid global economic growth, environmental issues, and the depletion of fossil fuels. As two kinds of pollution-free clean energy, light and electricity are gradually studied by more and more scholars.

Advanced materials have received significant interest from the perspectives of both scientific research and mechanical manufacturing fields, especially in energy storage applications. Their suitability for the applications are attributed to the unique properties of these nanostructured materials, such as compositions, tunable porous structures, controllable particle size, large surface area, and controllable surface chemistry. Depending on their synthesis methodology, advanced materials will continue to play a critical role in dealing with global challenges.

The articles presented in this Special Issue will cover various topics, ranging from, but not limited to, the photoelectrocatalysis materials, solar cells, solar photoelectrocatalysis degradation, energy storage devices(batteries and electrochemical supercapacitors), and the study of these materials’ synthesis, properties, and applications.

For this Special Issue, we invite authors to contribute research articles or reviews on the broad range of topics addressed above.
