CNPC Helps Fuel Sudanese Prosperity

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir arrived in Beijing early morning on June 28, kicking off a state visit to China as a guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao. Near noon time the same day, President al-Bashir paid a visit to CNPC headquarters. Accompanied by CNPC President Jiang Jiemin and Chinese ambassador to Sudan Li Chengwen, President al-Bashir looked around PetroChina Oil ＆ Gas Pipeline Control Center. Then the two sides hold talks before a welcome luncheon. Jiang expressed his gratefulness to the supports given by the Sudanese government and Sudanese people to CNPC＇s oil and gas operation in Sudan. Witnessed by President al-Bashir, Jiang Jiemin and Ali Ahmed Osman, State Minister at the Ministry of Petroleum, signed a MOU on deepening oil and gas cooperation.
