An Analysis of the Natural State in Leviathan

in the chapter 13 of Leviathan, by analyzing hnnaan nature, Thomas Hobbes gives out his hypothesis of the Natural state, in which people's lives are guided by law of nature. Without a common power to keep all in awe, the law of nature cannot be observed all the time. Thus long time peace and comfort will never be achieved, and even the security of people cannot be guaranteed. This situation can also be applied to the modem international anarchical society. This paper will make an analogy between the natural state in Leviathan and the modem international society to analyze the reason of international conflicts.
