On Analysis of English Taboos

Taboo, as a social phnomenon, exists in every culture, and it is greatly influenced by culture. In this paper the author attempts to study and analyze early English taboo from its orgion and type. The focus of the study on it is the type of taboo. Furthermore, the author also shows that Modern taboos are motivated more by notion of decency, politeness, decorum and communicative appropriateness than by pure fear sense of danger in earlier taboo practice. They reflect the sensitivity and respect of others' feelings.in 4 aspects
