A Brief Analysis of Illocutionary Acts

Illocutionary acts,introduced by John L.Austin in investigation of the multiple meanings in a speech act,belong to pragmatics in linguistics.It is using a sentence to perform a function,it is the act of expressing the speaker's intention and the act performed by or resulting from saying something.In this paper,I will go more closer to illocutionary acts and have a better understanding of it.
