Synthesis of a Soluble Diacetylene with Phenylimidazole Ring

6-(2-Methyl-4-phenyl )-N-imidazole-2,4-hexadiyn-1-ol was synthesized in a good yield byasymmetric coupling, and the corresponding intermediates were also prepared. The diacetylenemonomer could be dissolved in common organic solvents. In addition, all kinds of conditions werealso discussed effectively improving the formation of the diacetylene monomer.
