An Analysis of the obstacles in Intercultural Communication

In a word of international interdependence, the ability to understand and communicate effectively with people from other cultures takes on urgency. So if we are aware of the significant role culture plays in communication, we may not place the blame for communication failure on other people. This paper is trying to expect the readers to understand: what is intercultural communication; the potential barriers in intercultural communication; what we can do to overcome the barriers in the intercultural communication. And the prevailing problems in intercultural communication and the suggestions to higher education institutions in the hope of improving relationships between people from different cultures.
