Dear Frank,
I’m happy to hear from you. You can go from  Beijing to Hangzhou by plane, by coach or by  high-speed train. 
Taking a plane is the fastest way. The 2-hour  trip will cost you about 200 to 1,000 yuan. But  the airport is far from the city centre. Taking a  coach is the cheapest but the slowest way. It will  take you about 15 hours. Taking a high-speed  train will take you about 5 hours. It is a little expensive but it’s the second fastest and the most  comfortable way.
So I think going to Hangzhou by high-speed  train is the best choice for you. Have a nice trip!
