Synthesis of Multidentate Spuaraines

To search for more better sensitizer of organic solar cell,a series of multidentate squarines(Sq1~6)were synthesized,the structures wcre determined by elemental analysis,IR, UV-vis,1H NMR and MS spectroscopies. The squaraines have good solubility in polar solvents such as EtOH, CH3CoCH3, CHCl3 etc. as well as strong absorption band over 600~700 nm spectral range.
