本标准规定了用于测量车辆和轮胎／路面噪声的试验路面的基本特性。
本标准中给出的路面设计：
——在不同工况（包括那些适合于车辆噪声测试的条件）下能够保证各种轮胎／路面噪声传播一致性；
——能够尽量减小场地之间的差异；
——对车辆噪声源只有微弱吸声作用；
