  • 污泥型煤添加剂的研究

    污泥具有一定的热值和黏结性。以污泥与粉煤为原料,采用膨润土与硅酸钠为热固剂,有机硅与聚乙烯醇为防水剂,制备工艺性能优良的型煤。实验考察了污泥量、热固剂与防水剂的种类及添加比例。结果表明,型煤的灰分和挥发分随污泥量的增加而升高,发热量降低;热固剂与防水剂的添加使型煤的热压强度与防水性明显提高;各因素优化的工艺参数为污泥质量分数20%、膨润土热固剂质量分数6%、有机硅防水剂质量分数1.8%时,型煤抗压强度1.4MPa,热稳定性92%,发热量20.24kJ/g,浸水复干强度1.4MPa。测试值均符合山西省型煤地方标准DB14/133—2005{太原市锅炉用洁净型煤》的各项指标要求。...

  • Simulation and assessment of sludge concentration and rheology in the process of waste activated slu

    The process of using flat-sheet membrane for simultaneous sludge thickening and digestion (MSTD) was employed. The variations of sludge concentration and rheology were characterized and simulated. Based on mass balance analysis, mathematical models were developed and successfully used to predict and evaluate the variations of sludge concentration and the digestion efficiency in the MSTD process. The apparent viscosity of sludge could be modeled as functions of mixed liquor suspended solids and shear rates. The sludge in MSTD process showed both shear-thinning and viscoplastic behaviour, and under various shear rates different rheological models could be chosen to predict their flow behaviour. It was also found that sludge concentration and viscosity had significant correlations with membrane fouling in the MSTD process....

  • Combined process of sequencing batch reactor activated sludge process and constructed wetland for do

    By combining sequencing batch reactor (SBR) activated sludge process and constructed wetland (CW), this study is to achieve the domestic wastewater treatment. Our purpose was to determine the optimum operating parameters of the combined process. The process involved advantages and shortages of SBR and CW. Under normal temperature, the 3rd cycle (SBR's operation cycle is 8h: inflow for 1h, limited aeration for 3h, sediment for 1h, outflow for 1h, and idling for 2h; CW's hydraulic retention time (HRT) is 24.8h and hydraulic loading is 24.5m3/m2d) was the best cyclic mode. The effluents can meet the standard GB/T18921-2002: "The reuse of urban recycling water: water quality standard for scenic environment use". In the 3rd cycle, the efficiency of CW was the maximum, and energy consumption of SBR was the minimum. Under the condition of low dissolved oxygen, the removing efficiency of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and ammonia was not affected obviously.   • Experimental study on zero excess sludge production process with ozonation unit in MBR process

    In order to investigate the influence factors of zero excess activated sludge (EAS) process by ozona tion, a 100 L membrane bioreactor coupled with a sludge ozonation unit (MBR-SO) was performed for 80 d without EAS wasting. Some mathematical models were developed to elucidate the relationship between process parameters and the operating effects. It is considered that the sludge lysing ratio (ζ) , produced COD per unit mass lysed MISS (η), observed sludge yield coefficient (Y_(obs)) and intrinsic yield coefficient for COD produced by lysed sludge (Y_2) significantly affect the flowrate to ozonation unit (q). When q is 0. 0067 times of influent flowrate (Q) and ζ is about 0. 72 for each batch ozonation, a relatively stable MISS concentration of 8168 mg/L and zero Y_(obs) are achieved in the MBR-SO system. The calculation of sludge disintegration number indicates that the high ζ can apparently decrease the sludge amount needed for ozonation. At the same ozone dose, the low input ozone concentration and high flowrate can enhance the sludge lysing effects and a low energy consumption of 0. 041 Yuan/m~3 wastewater is obtained....

  • Advanced sludge reduction and phosphorous removal process

    An advanced sludge reduction process, i.e. sludge reduction and phosphorous removal process, was developed. The results show that excellent sludge reduction and biological phosphorous removal can be achieved perfectly in this system. When chemical oxygen demand ρ(COD) is 332 - 420 mg/L, concentration of ammonia ρ(NH3-N) is 30 - 40 mg/L and concentration of total phosphorous ρ(TP) is 6.0 - 9.0 mg/L in influent, the system still ensures ρ(COD)<23 mg/L, ρ(NH3-N)<3.2 mg/L and ρ(TP)<0.72 mg/L in effluent. Besides, when the concentration of dissolved oxygen ρ(DO) is around 1.0 mg/L, sludge production is less than 0. 140 g with the consumption of 1 g COD, and the phosphorous removal exceeds 91%. Also, 48.4% of total nitrogen is removed by simultaneous nitrification and denitrification....

  • Treating both wastewater and excess sludge with an innovative process

    The innovative process consists of biological unit for wastewater treatment and ozonation unit for excess sludge treatment. An aerobic membrane bioreactor(MBR) was used to remove organics and nitrogen, and an anaerobic reactor was added to the biological unit for the release of phosphorus contained at aerobic sludge to enhance the removal of phosphorus. For the excess sludge produced in the MBR, which was fed to ozone contact column and reacted with ozone, then the ozonated sludge was returned to the MBR for further biological treatment. Experimental results showed that this process could remove organics, nitrogen and phosphorus efficiently, and the removals for COD, NH3-N, TN and TP were 93.17 %, 97.57 %, 82.77 % and 79.5 %, respectively. Batch test indicated that the specific nitrification rate and specific denitrification Under the test conditions, the sludge concentration in the MBR was kept at 5000-6000 mg/L, and the wasted sludge was ozonated at an ozone dosage of 0.10 kgO3/kgSS. During the experimental period of two months, no excess sludge was wasted, and a zero withdrawal of excess sludge was implemented. Through economic analysis, it was found that an additional ozonation operating cost for treatment of both wastewater and excess sludge was only 0.045 RMB Yuan(USD 0.0054)/m3 wastewater....

  • Experimental Study on Minimization of Sludge Production by Ozonation Process

    Based on the hypothesis of reducing sludge production under cryptic growth conditions, ozone was used as cell lysis agent to treat excess sludge,and then the ozonated supernatant was returned to the aeration tank. The results show that COD and NH+4-N removal efficiencies in ozonation process were 87.96% and 84.42%, respectively. Meanwhile, a low excess sludge yield coefficient of 0. 113 ( g SS/g COD removed) was obtained.     Laboratory- scale experiments were conducted to determine new technology of waste sludge facultative metabolism . 10-L laboratory-scale facultative reactors were operated during 24-hour sludge residence time (SRT) and in room temperature . Results show that the organic matter in waste sludge after hydrolysis acidification will be reduced by 75.39%, the removal rate of CODer above 85% . Advantage of the process is hydrolysis-acidification in ambient air temperature as there is no need for facilities to be sealed or heated.   • 城市污水厂污水污泥的热值测定分析方法研究

    建立热力学指标是污水生物处理过程热力学分析的基础工作,目前仍缺乏污水污泥化学能测试的标准方法.采用IKA C5000型自动热量计对某城市二级污水处理厂进水、出水、初沉污泥、剩余污泥、混合污泥和脱水污泥进行了热值测定,样品前处理采用103~105℃烘干获得干燥基,用苯甲酸进行加标回收.参照煤的发热量测定方法得到样品的高位热值.试验结果显示:出水干燥基的热值为0.5 kJ/g,进水干燥基的热值为4 kJ/g以上,各T艺段的污泥干燥基热值较高,基本都在12 kJ/g以上,接近右江褐煤水平.测定结果的标准偏差≤±0.452%,相对标准偏差≤4-0.136%.通过同一批样品的元素分析及Dulong公式理论推算,发现2种方法可得到相似的结果....

  • Measuring methods for three kinds of polyhydroxyalkanoates from activated sludge by gas chromatograp

    Gas chromatography determination of polyhydroxyalkanoates has been common; however,the pretreatment steps are often complex,and gas chromatography operation conditions are not given in detail.In this study,gas chromatography is used for analyzing PHB,PHV and PH2MV,three majors of PHAs in activated sludge.The sample was centrifuged at a speed of 4000 r/min for the separation of floc and supernatant,freezen,and dried for 12 h in vacuum freezing drier; and then transferred to the fridge for freezing to ice and drying for 12 h in vacuum freezing drier; then chloroform and a simple composition digestion solution including methanol,sulfuric acid and benzoic acid was added; digested at 105 ℃ for 6 h; cooled to room temperature,the lower solution of the result can be used for analyzing.Samples were analyzed by gas chromatography with FID detector and auto sampler; the standard curve of standard material shows an excellent linear relationship with correlation coefficients larger than 0.99 ; the relative standard deviation(RSD)of sludge samples is less than 1 %.The recovery rates of each sample are between 95%-105%.The GC analysis time of each PHA sample is shorter than 10 minutes....

  • Effect of pyrolysis temperature and hold time on the characteristic parameters of adsorbent derived

    According to the Doehlert' s matrix method, the adsorbent derived from sewage sludge was prepared through chemical activation under controlling the pyrolysis temperature and hold time. The characteristic parameters including the total yield, adsorption of methylene blue, adsorption of iodine, BET surface area, micro-pore volume are 35%-49%, 16.5-38 mg/g, 285-362 mg/g, 185-359 m2/g, and 0.112-0.224 m3/g, respectively. According to the experimental data, the multi-linear regression method was adopted to fit the relations between the characteristic parameters and influential factors. At final, through optimization method, the optimal adsorbent is obtained when using 62 min as hold time and 1105K as pyrolysis temperature. Under the conditions, the adsorbent was produced and compared the characteristic parameters with model forecast value, the coherence is satisfied....

  • Management of process performance at low water temperatures in respect of filamentous organisms

    The management of sludge-settling properties in Nordic conditions is of importance during the low temperature (spring) season because of the peak settler load. A survey was made in 10 Finnish waste water treatment plants(WWTP' s) and the total extended filament length and DSVI in half of the plants exceeded the limits, which indicates sludge bulking( 15 km/g SS and 150 ml/g respectively). The dominant organism was Microthrix parvicella, the abundance of which was 59.22% of total extended filament length on average.Chemicals were tested to control the filaments, and it was found that special attention has to be paid to maintaining the nitrification at low temperature. A dosage of( H2 O2-based) oxidants controlled the growth of Microthrix parvicella effectively and rapidly, whereas with the use of aluminium hydroxidechioride a 2 to 5-week period was needed to decrease the filament length....
