• Fossil Fuels will remain in the EU Energy + Industry Mix  • CCS is needed for decarbonising the energy and other  industrial sectors - CCS is at a crossroads now • Increase collaboration through joint actions - interaction  between research/pilot scale and demo CCS projects • New approach enhancing and focussing EU international  cooperation in research and innovation  • Continuation of international cooperation efforts on  Clean Coal and CCS research and innovation
