ClientEarth1, The Carbon Tracker Initiative2, CDSB3 and CDP4 are submitting this letter to the Financial Reporting Council (“FRC”) as we believe many companies in the oil and gas and coal sectors (referred to in this letter as “fossil fuel companies”) are not satisfying existing mandatory reporting requirements by failing adequately to report on climate risk (as defined below).
