Coal production capacity far exceeds the scale of scientific production capacity, causing groundwater pollution and ecological damage, and fossil energy utilization brings acid rain, dust, smoke and other pollution, as well as haze problems. Especially since 2012, a large area of national heavy haze has repeatedly appeared, which has seriously threatened the health of the public.

近年来经济的高速发展带动了中国能源消费持续增长,2013年 末,中国能源消费总量达37.5亿吨标煤,其中煤炭消费总量 24.75亿吨,占能源消费总量的66%,温室气体排放达60亿吨。 做为能源消费大国,中国的能源结构清洁化、低碳化水平低。 以煤炭为主的能源结构支撑了中国经济的高速发展,但同时也 对生态环境造成了严重的破坏。煤炭产能远远超过科学产能规 模,造成地下水污染、生态破坏,化石能源利用带来酸雨、粉尘、 烟尘等多种污染,以及雾霾问题。尤其是2012年以来反复出 现的全国性大面积重度雾霾,严重威胁了公众的身体健康。
