最终环境影响报告书(EIS)评估了与美国能源部(DOE)提议的向NRG能源公司(NRG)和NRG提议的W.A.堂区燃烧后二氧化碳捕获和封存项目(堂区PCCS项目)提供财政援助的行动相关的潜在影响。能源部提议的行动将向NRG提供1.67亿美元的费用分摊财政援助，用于支持NRG教区PCCS项目的建设和运营。这笔资金将用于项目的设计和开发、资本设备的采购、建设以及二氧化碳综合捕获和压缩系统35个月的示范期间的二氧化碳监测。

This Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) evaluates the potential impacts associated with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Proposed Action to provide financial assistance to NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG) and with NRG’s proposed W.A. Parish Post-Combustion Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Capture and Sequestration Project (Parish PCCS Project). DOE’s Proposed Action would provide $167 million in cost-shared financial assistance to NRG under the Clean Coal Power Initiative (CCPI) Program to support construction and operation of NRG’s Parish PCCS Project. The funding would be used for project design and development, procurement of capital equipment, construction, and CO2 monitoring during the 35-month demonstration period of the integrated CO2 capture and compression system.
