Study of properties and mechanisms of backing weld of stainless steel piping with no backing gas
This work investigates the proposed welding of stainless steels with no backing gas by using solid wire ER316L-Si and mixed gases (He+Ar+CO_2). The protection mechanism was also discussed from the view of arc physics and the alloy elements in the solid wire. The result shows that when the proportion of helium in the above-noted mixed gases excesses 45 percent, the mechanical properties and the intergranular corrosion tendency meet corresponding Chinese standards. Further, the alloy elements in the solid wire can react with oxygen during the period of high temperature boosted by helium arc; this result in the formation of a bed of thin slag, which can avoid the oxidation of the backing weld and eliminate the need of backing gas....

Emissions of SO2,NO and N2O in a circulating fluidized bed combustor during co-firing coal and bioma
This paper presents the experimental investigations of the emissions of SO2, NO and N2O in a bench scale circulating fluidized bed combustor for coal combustion and co-firing coal and biomass. The thermal capacity of the combustor is 30 kW. The setup is electrically heated during startup. The influence of the excess air, the degree of the air staging, the biomass share and the feeding position of the fuels on the emissions of SO2, NO and N2O are studied. The results show that an increase in the biomass shares results in an increase of the CO concentration in the flue gas, probably due to the high volatile content of the biomass. In co-firing, the emission of SO2 increased with the increasing biomass share slightly however, non-linear increase relationship between SO2 emission and fuel sulfur content is observed. Air staging decreases the NO emission significantly without raising the SO2 level. Though change the fuel feeding position from riser to downer results in a decrease in the NO emission level, no obvious change is observed for the SO2 level. Taking the coal feeding position R as a reference, the relative NO emission can significantly decrease during co-firing coal and biomass when feeding fuel at position D and keeping the first stage stoichiometry greater than 0.95. The possible mechanisms of the sulfur and nitrogen chemistry at these conditions are discussed and the ways of simultaneous reduction of SO2, NO and N2O are proposed....

水蒸气对oxy-coal燃烧中NO生成的影响

Possibility of Reducing Formations of NOx and SO2 Simultaneously during Coal Combustion
Comparing with other NOx and SO2 control technologies, in-bed reducing NOx and SO2 simultaneously during coal combustion may lower the investment and operation cost. However, there are several possible contradictions between the reduction of NOx and the capture of SO2 during combustion: 1) CO rich atmosphere is favorable for the reduction of NOx, whereas O2 rich favorable for the capture of SO2; 2) higher preheating temperature of coal is favorable for reducing NOx, but unfavorable for reducing SO2; 3) sulphation of some minerals may deactivate their catalytic effect on the reduction of NOx. The attempts to eliminate such contradictions by coating coal granules with thin layer of monometallic oxides and mixed oxides were proposed. Ni2O3 and Fe2O3 showed high activity on NOx reduction and CaO and Cr2O3 showed good effect on sulfur capture. The mixed metallic oxides, e.g., Fe2O3NiO, etc., showed effective for both NOx reduction and SO2 retention. It is possible to in-bed reduce NOx and SO2 simultaneously if the adhering materials are properly chosen to be difunctional materials of both active catalysts for NOx reduction reactions and better sorbents for SO2 retention....

CuO/γ-Al2O3催化剂选择性催化还原NO
利用溶胶凝胶法制备CuO/γ-Al2O3,催化剂颗粒,在固定床上测试催化脱硝活性.CuO/γ-Al2O3在250~400℃范围内脱硝效率达到90%以上.硫化作用后催化剂的最佳温度窗口向高温方向移动.利用程序升温方法研究了.CuO/γ-Al2O3对NH3的氧化性能,经硫化后催化剂NH3的氧化性能下降,降低了催化剂在低温区脱硝活性.NH3和NO的脱附实验显示NH3和NO在催化剂表面存在明显的吸附现象.经硫化经后催化剂增加了对NH3的吸附量,降低了对NO的吸附量.暂态实验证明NH3以吸附态参与反应,而NO以气态或者弱吸附态参与反应.NO的吸附在实际SCR反应过程中影响有限.动力学计算显示溶胶凝胶法制备CuO/γ-Al2O3拥有较低的选择性催化还原反应活化能....
