    用大气压下火花放电方法和发射光谱原位诊断技术,对CH4直接转化制乙炔和间接转化制合成气进行了研究,并与介质阻挡放电进行了比较.结果表明,火花放电具有能量效率高的突出优点,能够高效地将CH4活化成C原子、H原子和C2等活泼物种.当CH4单独进料时,能得到以C2 H2为主的烃类产物.当CH4与CO2和O2共进料时,能得到H2/CO比值可调的合成气产物.在用火花放电转化CH4和CO2制合成气时,添加O2能够避免反应器的结炭问题,反应温度只需225℃,与常规催化法相比具有明显的低温优势....

  • Synthesis Gas Production from Natural Gas on Supported Pt Catalysts

    Auto-thermal reforming of methane, combining partial oxidation and reforming of methane with CO2 or steam, was carried out with Pt/Al2O3, Pt/ZrO2 and Pt/CeO2 catalysts, in a temperature range of 300-900 ℃. The auto-thermal reforming occurs in two simultaneous stages, namely, total combustion of methane and reforming of the unconverted methane with steam and CO2, with the O2 conversion of 100% starting from 450 ℃. For combination with CO2 reforming, the Pt/CeO2 catalyst showed the lowest initial activity at 800 ℃, and the highest stability over 40 h on-stream. This catalyst also presented the best performance for the reaction with steam at 800 ℃. The higher resistance to coke formation of the catalyst supported on ceria is due to the metal-support interactions and the higher mobility of oxygen in the oxide lattice....

  • Characterization and performance of Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalysts prepared via decomposition of M(Cu,Zn)-am

    Methanol synthesis from hydrogenation of CO2 is investigated over Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by decomposition of M(Cu,Zn)-ammonia complexes (DMAC) at various temperatures.The catalysts were characterized in detail,including X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption-desorption,N2O chemisorption,temperature-programmed reduction and evolved gas analyses.The influences of DMAC temperature,reaction temperature and specific Cu surface area on catalytic performance are investigated.It is considered that the aurichalcite phase in the precursor plays a key role in improving the physiochemical properties and activities of the final catalysts.The catalyst from rich-aurichalcite precursor exhibits large specific Cu surface area and high space time yield of methanol (212 g/(Lcat·h); T =513 K,p =3 MPa,S V =12000 h-1)....

  • Photoreduction of CO2 to methanol over Bi2S3/CdS photocatalyst under visible light irradiation

    The Bi2S3,CdS and Bi2S3/CdS photocatalysts were prepared by direct reactions between their corresponding salt and thiourea in a hydrothermal autoclave.The photocatalytic activities of these photocatalysts for reducing CO2 to CH3OH under visible light irradiation have been investigated.The results show that the photocatalytic activity and visible light response of Bi2S3 are higher than those of CdS.The Bi2S3 modification can enhance the photocatalytic activity and visible light response of CdS.The photocatalytic activity of Bi2S3/CdS hetero-junction photocatalyst was the highest and the highest yields of methanol was 613/μmol/g when the weight proportion of Bi2S3 to CdS was 15%,which was about three times as large as that of CdS or two times of that of Bi2S3....

  • Study of CO2 Hydrogenation to Methanol over Cu-V/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst

    The effect of vanadium addition to Cu/γ-Al2O3 catalyst used in the hydrogenation of CO2 to produce methanol was studied. It was found that the catalytic performance of the Cu-based catalyst improved after V addition. The influence of reaction temperature, space velocity and the molar ratio of H2 to CO2 on the performance of 12%Cu-6%V/γ-Al2Oa catalyst were also studied. The results indicated that the best conditions for reaction were as follows: 240 ℃, 3600 h-1 and a molar ratio of H2 to CO2 the dispersion of the supported CuO species, which resulted in the enhanced catalytic performance of Cu-V/γ-Al2O3 binary catalyst....

  • Kinetics of CO2 reduction in KOH/methanol electrolyte on Pb electrode

    The electrochemical reduction of CO2 on a Pb electrode was investigated in 0.1 mol/L KOH/methanol electrolyte at different temperatures and pressures. A graphite electrode was employed as the counter electrode, and an AglAgCl ( sat. KCl) electrode was used as the reference electrode. The Tafel plots of the products by the electrochemical reduction of CO2 showed that the formation process of HCOOH differed from that of CO and the reduction of CO2 was not limited by the diffusion of CO2 in the investigated potential range. Kinetic analysis indicated that the reaction orders were 0.573 for electrochemical reduction of CO2 to CO and 0. 671 for CO2 to HCOOH in the cathodic direction....

  • Water Self-Softening Processes at Waterfall Sites

    Many rivers in tropical and subtropical karst regions are supersaturated with respect to CaCO3 and have high water hardness. After flowing through waterfall sites, river water is usually softened, accompanied by tufa formation,which is simply described as a result of water turbulence in fast-flowing water. In this paper, a series of laboratory experiments are designed to simulate the hydrological conditions at waterfall sites. The influences of air-water interface,water flow velocity, aeration and solid-water interface on water softening are compared and evaluated on a quantitative basis. The results show that the enhanced inorganic CO2 outgassing due to sudden hydrological changes occurring at waterfall sites is the principal cause of water softening at waterfall sites. Both air-water interface area and water flow velocity increase as a result of the "aeration effect", "low pressure effect" and "jet-flow effect" at waterfall sites, which greatly accelerates CO2 outgassing and therefore makes natural waters become highly supersaturated with respect to CaCO3, consequently resulting in much CaCO3 deposition and reduction of water hardness. Aeration, rapidly increasing air-water interface area and water flow velocity, proves to be effective in reducing water hardness. This study may provide a cheap, safe and effective way to soften water....
