MARKOV SKELETON PROCESS IN PERT NETWORKS
In this article, we investigate Programming Evaluation and Review Technique networks with independently and generally distributed activity durations. For any path in this network, we select all the activities related to this path such that the completion time of the sub-network (only consisting of all the related activities) is equal to the completion time of this path. We use the elapsed time as the supplementary variables and model this sub-network as a Markov skeleton process, the state space is related to the sub-network structure. Then use the backward equation to compute the distribution of the sub-network's completion time, which is an important rule in project management and scheduling....

Study on Professional Process of Bra Design
The process of bra design in the underwear industry is studied. Several important aspects of the process were identified: sizing, fabric selection, pattern development and grading, the use of CAD system, fitting and wear trials. Although the design process relies heavily on the expertise and experience of designers, the modern technology such as CAD can facilitate and optimize the design process, and the fitting process on life models is essential for the underwear design. The differences between domestic underwear companies and foreign major ones mainly lie at the lack of dress form specially used for underwear design, lack of CAD/CAM or not making full use of them, and most of all, lack of the professional bra designers or even skillful pattern designers. Electrode process of diethyldithiocarbamate on surface of pyrrhotite
The electrode process of diethyldithiocarbamate on the surface of pyrrhotite was studied using systematic electrochemical analysis, including cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and galvanostatic. Experimental results show that tetraethylthioram disulphide(TETD) is electrodeposited on pyrrhotite electrode surface in the presence of 1.0×10-4 mol/L diethyldithiocarbamate when the electrode potential is higher than 0.25 V. The electrochemical kinetics parameters of the electrode process of diethyldithiocarbamate on surface of pyrrhotite are calculated as follows: the exchange current density is 2.48 μA/cm2, and the transmission coefficient is 0.46. The electrodeposition includes two steps electrochemical reaction. The first reaction is electrochemical adsorption of diethyldithiocarbamate ion, then the adsorbed ion associates with a diethyldithiocarbamate ion from the solution and forms tetraethylthioram disulphide on the surface of pyrrhotite....

Process of Waste Sludge Facultative Metabolism
Laboratory- scale experiments were conducted to determine new technology of waste sludge facultative metabolism . 10-L laboratory-scale facultative reactors were operated during 24-hour sludge residence time (SRT) and in room temperature . Results show that the organic matter in waste sludge after hydrolysis acidification will be reduced by 75.39%, the removal rate of CODer above 85% . Advantage of the process is hydrolysis-acidification in ambient air temperature as there is no need for facilities to be sealed or heated. A Multivariate Process Capability Index
Process capability indices have been widely used in the manufacturing industry, providing numerical measures on process precision, process accuracy, and process performance. Capability measures for processes with a single characteristic have been investigated extensively. However, capability measures for processes with multiple characteristics are comparatively neglected. In this paper, inspired by the approach and model of process capability index investigated by K.S.Chen et al.(2003) and A.B.Yeh et al.(1998), a note model of multivariate process capability index based on non-conformity is presented. Effect of Process Parameters on Porosity in Aluminum Lost Foam Process
Porosity is a main defect in aluminum alloy castings, which is also thought to be severe in aluminum alloy castings produced by lost foam process due to the pyrolysis of the polystyrene foam pattern during pouring. Fundamental experiments were carried out to evaluate the effect of process parameters such as the melt treatment, the cooling rate and the density of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam on porosity in A356.2 bar casting. The effect of melt treatment including degassing and refining was investigated. The effect of cooling rate was also evaluated by changing the mold packing material such as the silica sand, the zircon sand and the steel shots. Gas entrapment due to the turbulent metal flow during mold filling in conventional molding process results in porosity. Mold filling sequence in lost foam process is different from that in conventional molding process. The effect of molten metal flow was estimated by comparing the density of the casting by conventional sodium silicate molding with that by lost foam process. Density measurement was conducted to analyze the extent of porosity in the casting. Source of the porosity in lost foam process can be divided into two factors, i.e. turbulence in molten metal flow and entraining residue or gas from the pattern during pouring....

The New Plating Process on Plastics
This process does not use general electroless plating solution containing formaldehyde(carcinogen) and phosphate(the object of waste water regulation). Furthermore, we succeeded in developing a new electroless copper plating solution which is usable semi-permanently by using the special reducing agent. The electroless deposition forms a very thin conductive film on substrate. Therefore, it can prevent some appearance defects (e.g. pits, pin-holes, laminations and inclusions) that occur in the conventional ones. In addition, it is possible to eliminate electroplating of copper from the process by applying the exclusive nickel solution in electroplating. Therefore, the obtained metal parts can be recycled as high quality stainless steel. Given this copper electroplating-free process, 25μ m-thick nickel deposition at the stage of electroplating, at least, enables the metal layers to show properties as versatile as those of the conventional(its total thickness is 25μ m in the comparative conventional process)....
